(use US VPN). Looks really useful: factual grounding, suggestions (including articles/videos), learning sections etc.Le Chat by Mistral had created waves yesterday, but I’m too slow to the party: still, it’s a free ChatGPT/ChatLLM/Claude alternative with web browsing, Flux pro image generation and even agents for different tasks.
Psychedelics
Combined Use of Psychedelics and Psychiatric Drugs
SRIs potentially block psychedelic subjective and therapeutic effects (2a downregulation after SSRI use in effect?). The duh-searchers didn’t find any attenuation after two weeks on escitalopram, which is tiny dick energy study design
SRIs + MDMA = attenuation after SRI adaptation, 5HT syndrome before it
Bupropion enhances MDMA effects
Don’t combine lithium with psychedelics, especially LSD - it’s a good way to copslay a foam bath
Combine ibogaine with anything at your own risk (especially QT prolonging meds)
Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy in Clinical Practice
Needs a structured approach: preparation session, main session (2 therapists), integration sessions (more important than main session IMO)
Clusterfuck trips now “challenging experiences” and “food for engagement and insight”. A lot of insight from being a road sign for a couple of eternities!
Benzos as a backup (not 2a antagonists to engage in difficult trip portions)
Not for history of psychotic episodes and severe mental disorders running in family
So:
Costly mainly because of personnel involved + psychological risks
Not scalable or generalizable as a lot of peeps are screened out
Xenobots and anthrobots
Scientists had managed to create tiny self-organizing robots from human cells
Skin cells formed xenobots, multicellular structures that can navigate surroundings
Lung cells formed anthrobots, capable of movement, self-repair and
accepting donationsrepairing neighbor cellsLooks like that can be used for garbage/mucus/infection management as soon as those mechanisms are better researched and managed
Looks like HIV prophylaxis is so near (not sure)
Gilead’s lenacapavir shows 96-100% efficiency in preventing HIV/AIDS in a couple of trials
It’s a twice-yearly injection, works as a capsid inhibitor
As usual:
“excluding individuals at risk from receptive vaginal sex”“DESCOVY FOR PrEP must be prescribed only to individuals confirmed to be HIV negative immediately prior to initiation and at least every 3 months during use”“Severe acute exacerbations of hepatitis B have been reported in individuals infected with hepatitis B virus (HBV) who discontinued products containing FTC and/or TDF and may occur with discontinuation of DESCOVY”“DESCOVY FOR PrEP is contraindicated in individuals with unknown or positive HIV status”“Discontinue DESCOVY in individuals who develop clinically significant decreases in renal function or evidence of Fanconi syndrome”But hey, it’s an honest miracle drug!!

Meaning after religion
Why people leave religion?
Cultural stagnation: you’d love to use latest smartphones and learn and create, but are forced to use an old phone… Or you don’t share the religion’s elden views on racism/LGBTQ/anything
Abuse: either spiritual (don’t leave or else…) or physical
(they say you’re grown up when the sermon stops winking at you?)Suffering: some schools of religion view existence as suffering, or appropriate the need to suffer (aye to self-whipping) to achieve salvation
Labelling: some are finding the religious label/stigma uncomfortable in current times. A recent poll indicated that more than 40% of self-identified evangelicals do not believe in Jesus. But Jesus is not that bad!
Leaving religion
Starts with deconstruction of religious belief framework, which can be extremely destabilizing. Akin to the Dark Night of the Soul and The Dark Night in buddhism, yeah.
Then goes either religious reconstruction (beliefs had changed) or deidentification (outside of religion)
A weird phenomenon called religious residue arises: people continue to be semi-consciously influenced by the religious tenets in life/money/relationships
After…
A lot are reporting freedom, often coupled with anxiety (too much freedom of choice is very stressful, isn’t it?)
The hardest questions (Who am I? What is good and wrong? What will happen to me?) are to be answered again, and it’s not an easy task considering the answers were given and implanted before
Relishing on some of religion’s values is great, and in the end it’s often a rich assemblage of who someone is, who someone isn’t, his/her values intertwined with residual values etc.
